Named for the Native American leader Osceola (meaning singer of the black drink), Osceola County was created in the late 1800s partly from Orange and Brevard Counties with Kissimmee established as the county seat. It is a little known fact that until the early 1900s, Osceola County extended south to Lake Okeechobee, making it even larger than it is today. According to the 2000 census, the population of this county was about 175,000. By the end of 2008 it exceeded 263,000. That represnets over 1000 new residents each month for the past 6 years!

The Osceola County Courthouse is located at 2 Courthouse Square, which is actually on Bryan Street, between Rose Avenue and Beaumont Avenue. The large five story building replaced the older courthouse located across the street. The old courthouse is one of, if not the oldest, courthouses still in use in the United States.

Our office in Kissimmee is conveniently located at the corner of Bryan and Clyde Streets, across the street and one block from the Courthouse. This location provides us with easy access to the courthouse and is centrally located to provide services to all the resident of Osceola County. From this office we assist clients from the many areas of the county, which include the municipalities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud. For those in the unincorporated areas of the county, areas from Buenaventura Lakes and Poinciana to Holopaw and Yeehaw Junction, our attorneys stand ready to assist you.
